The Gruyère Pays-d’Enhaut Regional Nature Park is crossed by a multitude of marked trails, all integrated into the SwitzerlandMobility network. These routes lead through preserved landscapes, inhabited villages, and natural environments of great richness.
Among all the available routes, the Park highlights several thematic hikes, offering diverse experiences rooted in the territory:
- The Grand Tour des Vanils: a demanding itinerary for experienced hikers, offering the most breathtaking panoramas of the Park.
- The Cheese Trails: paths that connect heritage, alpine chalets, and living traditions.
- The 3 Parks Hike: an interregional itinerary exploring the alpine landscapes of the Gruyère Pays-d’Enhaut, Gantrisch, and Jura vaudois Parks.
- The Jogne Heritage Trail: a two-stage itinerary tracing the history of the valley.
The Park also promotes crossing hikes, designed for long-distance walkers and accessible by public transport – a concrete way to combine the pleasure of hiking with soft mobility.
Many routes also pass through the Vanil Noir and Pierreuse nature reserves, while revealing the cultural, heritage, and ecological diversity of the region.
Cycling in the Park

The County Tour

The Tour of the county of Gruyère, achievable in two days by e-bike, leads through typical pre-Alpine landscapes and villages of national importance, while revealing many sites of interest.

The routes are spread across valley floors, balconies, and higher altitudes, offering a wide range of possibilities throughout the seasons.
Most of the hikes are designed as traverses. Each starting and ending point is served by public transport, making the routes easier and more flexible.
With its eleven mountain stages, the Grand Tour des Vanils is designed for well-trained hikers.
Ideally done from June to September, it crosses the Park’s most beautiful landscapes.
Thanks to excellent public transport connections, it allows great flexibility — from one stage to several.
