Plant fruit trees

The Park can help

For a fixed price of CHF 160 per tree, the Park provides advice, supplies the trees and organises pruning during their first six years. In return, the purchaser covers the costs of planting and protecting the tree and commits to providing proper care, in accordance with a planting agreement.

To encourage the preservation of heritage varieties (identified as rare in Switzerland or of regional importance in the fact sheets available below), these trees are offered at a preferential price of CHF 120 per tree.

To preserve a particular variety, scions are collected from the original tree and sent to a nursery for grafting. It takes approximately two years to produce high-quality young trees. Trees can also be obtained within one year, although their quality may be lower.

Order deadlines

For spring planting, orders must be placed by 31 January.

For autumn planting, orders must be placed by 1 September.

Trees must be planted shortly after delivery, ideally on the same day or within two days, provided their roots are kept protected and moist.
