Certain areas of the Gruyère Pays-d'Enhaut Regional Nature Park are more sensitive than others. Special rules therefore apply, particularly on bringing dogs into the Park. Please comply with the relevant rules and regulations and adapt your behaviour accordingly. 

By acting responsibly, you are helping to preserve the mountain landscape and ensuring a positive Park experience for yourself and other users.

LEgislation

Les chiens doivent être tenus en laisse dans les forêts du 1er avril au 15 juillet (FR et VD). Dans le canton de Vaud, ils doivent également être tenus en laisse en lisière et dans les prairies attenantes aux forêts.

Dans les zones de protection de la faune sauvage (district franc fédéral, réserve de faune cantonale VD), les chiens doivent toujours être tenus en laisse et dans certaines réserves naturelles (Vanil Noir et Pierreuse) les chiens sont interdits. Voir carte ci-contre.

From 1 April to 15 July, dogs must be kept on a leash when in the forests (FR and VD). In the canton of Vaud, they must always be kept on a lead when walking along the forest's edge and in the meadows around the forests.

Dogs must always be kept on a leash when in wildlife protection zones (federal game reserves and canton of Vaud wildlife reserves). Dogs are not permitted in certain nature reserves like Vanil Noir and La Pierreuse.

Recommandations

When walking your dog, please:

  • Comply with the specific rules for protected areas and forests (cf. 'Legislation' box opposite).
  • Keep your dog under control at all times and do not allow it to foul the meadows.
  • Avoid grazing land where a guard dog is present.
  • Close gates and barriers behind you.
  • Leave no trace: take your rubbish home.
  • Do not approach or disturb the wildlife.
  • Do not walk over the meadows. Stay on the paths.
