Legislation
In some nature reserves, it is against the law to leave the marked hiking trails. Protected zones and the relevant legal restrictions are shown on the map.
- You will find all officially designated routes on the swisstopo hiking maps (1:50 000) and at SwitzerlandMobility.
- For rules on visiting the Park with dogs or in the event of snow cover, please refer to the relevant information sheets.
Recommendations
When hiking, please :
- Respect protected zones (cf. 'Legislation' box opposite)
- Stay on marked paths
- Take photos rather than pick (or walk over) the plants.
- Leave no trace: take your rubbish home.
- Close gates and barriers behind you.
- Always observe wildlife from a distance.
- Remember that enjoying the unspoiled nature of the Park is a privilege, not a gift.
- Use public transport where possible.
The Hiker's Charter
The Park has also compiled a list of good practices to be adopted in the vicinity of mountain pastures and in relation to the people who work and live there.
Managing urgent needs
