The Train des neiges: a direct connection through the Park

From 3 January to 22 March 2026, the new Train des Neiges will directly connect Bulle, the Intyamon valley, the Pays-d’Enhaut and the Gstaad–Zweisimmen region, offering a simple and sustainable public transport alternative for winter leisure activities.

From 14 December 2025 to 15 March 2026, the Charmey–La Valsainte line switches to the winter timetable, offering three pairs of journeys on weekends and public holidays.

In winter, wildlife reacts more strongly to disturbance. A few rules and recommendations help maintain a healthy balance, allowing ski and snowshoe outings to remain enjoyable while safeguarding the animals living in these areas.

A territory spanning 3 cantons

The Gruyère Pays-d'Enhaut Regional Nature Park is one of Switzerland's 20 parks of national importance. Its 630km2 territory extends over 3 cantons (Fribourg, Vaud and Bern), between Montreux, Gstaad and Bulle.

The Park comprises 17 communes spread over 4 regions:

Jogne Valley (FR-BE)

Châtel-sur-Montsalvens, Crésuz, Val-de-Charmey, Jaun, Abländschen (commune of Saanen)

Gruyères and Intyamon Valley (FR)

Gruyères, Bas-Intyamon, Grandvillard, Haut-Intyamon

Pays-d’Enhaut - Les Mosses (VD)

Château-d’Œx, Ormont-Dessous (Les Mosses), Rossinière, Rougemont

Lemanic side (VD)

Montreux, Veytaux, Villeneuve (the upper reaches of these communes with Chillon Castle), Corbeyrier

Becoming a member of the Park means joining an association that works for sustainable regional development. Individuals, couples, businesses, or collectives—everyone can support the Park's actions.
