The Gastlosen tour

The tour of the Gastlosen passes through forests and meadows, skirting the limestone walls where climbers from all over Switzerland come to train. There are three chalets-buvettes along the way, where you can refuel and enjoy the terraces. The Gastlosen Express chairlift provides easy access to the trail.

Daffodils: tracing the snow of May

Throughout May — sometimes as early as late April and lasting into early June — the meadows above Montreux Riviera are draped in a white blanket. An elegant, delicate, and fleeting cape that, for just a few days, lends the Prealps a unique charm. In Glion or Les Pléiades, Mont-Pèlerin, Caux, or Les Avants, set out to discover the daffodils along trails offering the most beautiful views of the lake.

Choucas Botanical Trail

The Choucas Botanical Trail, above Château-d’Œx, reveals the rich flora of the sunny slopes of the limestone Prealps. It features a lower section that is very accessible and an upper section that is steeper. Three marked routes allow you to explore the trail from the Dent parking area: a round trip to the Choucas cabin with a technical section equipped with cables and ladders, an easier route to the Mérils, or a full loop including steep but secured parts. Each option offers labeled plants to discover, with varying levels of elevation and duration.
