Farming and artisanal food production are an important part of the regional economy. Only food products that are made in an official Swiss Park and in accordance with its values can bear the Swiss Parks label.

Park products derive their authenticity from the skill of local farmers and their respect for the land they work, as well as the craftsmanship of local producers and their respect for tradition. The decision to embark on the certification process is proof of the farmers’ and producers’ commitment to sustainability and cooperation.

The producers have chosen to embark on the stringent certification process: One or more of their products now bear the Swiss Parks product label. An independent body oversees the certification process. Through their partnership with the Park producers demonstrate their commitment to advancing the goal of the Park’s charter.
