The Charmey–La Valsainte line switches to winter mode

From 14 December 2025 to 15 March 2026, the Charmey–La Valsainte line switches to the winter timetable, offering three pairs of journeys on weekends and public holidays.

By linking the hamlet of La Tzintre (Charmey) with that of La Valsainte (Cerniat), the PostBus line provides access to a wide range of winter activities. Gastronomy, ice rink, skiing, thermal baths and cultural events energise La Tzintre and Charmey during winter, while several ski touring options and snowshoe trails start from La Valsainte: the Pré-de-l’Essert route (Swiss Mobile snowshoe trail 268), the Auta Chia route (Swiss Mobile snowshoe trail 288) and La Valsainte – Vounetse.

To preserve the calm of this area and due to the absence of parking possibilities, the use of the Bus Alpin Charmey – La Valsainte is strongly encouraged.
