The council

The Park Council is the Association’s deliberative body. It has between 25 and 33 members, including the President and the Vice-President, namely:

• one representative per member municipality, appointed by the municipal executive,
• the presidents of the Nature, Tourism, and Agriculture commissions,
• members elected by the General Assembly based on their interest or expertise.

The Council meets at least twice a year. Its responsibilities include, among others:

• proposing to the General Assembly the Association’s general policy, in particular the Charter (10-year term) and the management plans (4–5 years),
• approving the strategies and concepts that complement the Charter and the management plans,
• validating projects outside the management plan presented by the Coordination or by the commissions, with regard to their compliance with the Association’s objectives and their financing,
• adopting the annual budget,
• deciding on membership applications.

The Association’s statutes define the activities and responsibilities of the Council.
